If you are coming to work any event at the fair this week a few things are required

Full PPE, head to toe
Including SAFETY GLASSES

There is no exceptions. You can not work the gates during the derbies without proper PPE

If you have not gotten a form signed by your chief you need to bring it the nights your working

Hello all, we are in danger of losing our Explorer post and club. We need youth that are 12 and 13 for our club and youth that are between 14-18 years old for the post. The Explorer program teaches the how to of fire and EMS operations to young adults who are interested. TRAVEL ADVISORY

Due to extensive storm damage from winds and heavy rain the Town of Colchester
has issued a travel advisory. Downed trees and powerlines may pose a threat to
travel at this time. Do not drive through flooded roadways and be cautious of downed
power lines. Call 911 if you have an emergency in your area and let the appropriate
personnel address the situation to protect yourself.

STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED

Due to extensive storm damage from winds damaging trees and power infrastructure
the Town and Village of Hancock are under a State of Emergency. Supervisor Jerry
Vernold and Mayor Shuan Shannon have declared States of Emergency for the Town
and Village including an order for No Unnecessary Travel.
The orders are in place until further notice. This is a hazardous situation where public
safety is first and foremost. Please give first responders, road crews and the power
company the space and time they need to clear the roads and restore infrastructure.
Do not drive through flooded roadways and be cautious of downed power lines. Call
911 if you have an emergency in your area and let the appropriate personnel address
the situation to protect yourself.

ATTENTION EMS PROVIDERS

The New York State Collaborative EMS Protocols and Statewide BLS Protocols have been updated. All EMS agencies, Medical Directors, educators, and EMS clinicians should review both the updated protocols and the change log to become familiar with the revisions.

Agencies should begin planning for implementation of the updated protocols effective date of September 1st, 2026.

Today, at the New York State Police 50th Annual Superintendent’s Commendation and Awards Ceremony, Trooper Timothy W. Murray was the recipient of the Trooper William V. McDonagh Community Service Award.

Trooper Murray is the Fire Chief in Delhi as well as a Deputy Coordinator for our office.

Congratulations Tim on this well deserved recognition!!
