We are incredibly grateful to share that an anonymous donor family from the Town of Bethlehem generously dropped off 16 Carter Kit Sensory Bags after seeing our social media post earlier this month. Their generosity will help ensure that all patrol cars are outfitted with these important resources, and they expressed how much they appreciated the initiative and the positive impact it can have in our community.

Thank you again to these thoughtful donors for supporting our officers and the community we serve.

Happy Mother’s Day from the Bethlehem Police Department!

Today, we recognize and celebrate all the moms, grandmothers, stepmothers, foster mothers, and mother figures who give so much to their families and our community.

A special thank you to the moms within our own BPD family who balance service, strength, and dedication both at home and on duty.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Mother’s Day!

As the weather warms up, we’re seeing more e-bikes, e-scooters, and mopeds out on our roads and in our neighborhoods.

These can be a great way to get around, but they also come with important safety rules and legal requirements. Riders should know what type of device they are using, where it can be operated, and whether licensing, registration, or safety equipment is required.

Parents and guardians: please help make sure young riders understand the rules before heading out….and always wear a helmet!

Ride smart. Ride safe. Know the law.

Great day out in the community! Members of the Bethlehem Police Department visited Bethlehem Central Middle School, Slingerlands Elementary, Eagle Elementary, Elsmere Elementary, and Hamagrael Elementary.

Thank you to Town Supervisor David VanLuven for highlighting these visits, and thank you to the students and staff for the warm welcome. We always enjoy the chance to connect with our schools and spend time with the kids who make this community such a great place to serve.

The rain held off for another successful Walk & Bike to School Day. Students at Eagle Elementary, Elsmere Elementary, Hamagrael Elementary, Slingerlands Elementary, and the BC Middle School participated. Now let’s hope the rain wraps up so they have a dry trip home!
