🌳 A Little Delmar Parks & Rec Reintroduction! 🌳

Over the last few weeks, we’ve gained a lot of new followers—and that’s awesome! Thank you for being here and supporting Delmar Parks & Rec! ❤️

We thought this would be a great time to reintroduce ourselves and share a little about who we are.

The Delmar Parks & Rec Committee isn’t new. However, for many years, the committee was dormant. About four years ago, it was brought back to life with the goal of creating more activities, events, and opportunities for our community.

We’re a small committee with a very small budget, but we’re passionate about making a difference in Delmar and providing fun, family-friendly activities for our community.

Our current committee consists of five members:

• MD Commissioner Jacob Boothe
• Roger Martinson
• Faith Higbee
• Brian Green
• Jeffery Melvin

And we’re always looking for new ideas—and even new members! 🙌

🌟 Our final Community Kickball Night is a GO!

We got a decent amount of rain last night, but our crew put in some work on the field this morning, and we’re expecting it to be ready to play by 6:00 PM! 🙌

There may be a couple of small muddy spots, so leave those brand-new school shoes at home! 👟😂 Wear something you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

Let’s wrap up with a great night of kickball, laughs, and fun with friends and family. We can’t wait to see everyone at the field! 💙🧡

Tomorrow night, 7/29, is our last night of kick ball - if you haven’t had the chance to join us yet then come on out. Don’t forget every kid that particpates will receive a free snow cone from Glacier Snowballs!!

There is rain in the forecast for tonight. However, we plan on playing. As always check our page for any updates. We hope to see everyone tomorrow night!!

Thank you, everyone, for another successful Kickball Night!

We had twice as many participants as last week and twice the fun, and we couldn’t be happier with the turnout!

A special thank-you goes to Glacier Snowball for providing delicious snow cones for our participants, and to the Delmar Volunteer Fire Department for supplying some much-needed ice. Your support helped make the evening even better!

Parents, we’d love to see your memories from the night! Please feel free to share any photos or videos you took in the comments below.

We hope to see everyone again next Wednesday from 6:00–7:00 PM — same time, same place! Bring a friend and come join the fun!

We’ll be having our 2nd kick ball night tonight! It’s going to be hot but we’ll have water available for all the participants! We hope to see you out there!!

Tired of your kids being in front of a screen? Or are they just bored out of their minds? Parents, do you need to get your fitness on? Or do you want to show your kids you still got it?

Then join us tonight for our inaugural kickball night! 6 pm - 7 pm. No signups required, just roll on up ready to play.

This is a free event for all ages. Kids will receive a complimentary small snow cone.

Just a heads up, this is a family-friendly event, so let's keep it light and fun. We'll form teams before we kick off. And don't forget to bring your own hydration!

What a fantastic first Kickball Night!

Thank you to everyone who came out to kick off our very first Kickball Night! We had 16 participants join us for an evening full of laughs, friendly competition, and community fun.

A big shoutout to Glacier Snowball for generously providing a FREE snow cone for everyone after the games! 🍧 Your support helped make the evening even sweeter.

If you missed out, don't worry—there's still plenty of time to join the fun! Whether you're coming to play, cheer on friends, or just enjoy a great evening at the park, everyone is welcome.
