School tours are in full swing at Wabash & Erie Canal Park! 📚

This week we hosted Delphi Elementary School for their Pioneer Day field trip, a tradition that dates back many years. Thanks to collaboration with the amazing educators at Delphi Elementary, we provide a full day, hands-on history experience, and students enjoy memories to last a lifetime. During the day, students try a variety of historic trades, including candle-making, weaving, leather-stamping, and much more.

These special moments are made possible by the donors and sponsors who support Canal Park and help us keep the facilities preserved and looking their best. Thank you to all those who make these educational, fun moments happen! 👏

There is an abundance of historical and ecological treasures along the 6+ miles of trails at Wabash & Erie Canal Park, and we want you to know more about them! These monthly walks are free to the public, open to all ages and skills, and mostly on flat terrain and crushed stone trails. The length ranges from less than a mile to nearly two miles, but you can join for whatever duration makes sense for you.

These walks will be led by Canal Park's knowledgeable and welcoming volunteers. Check out the schedule for the year, or you can get more information on our website: https://wabashanderiecanal.org/series/nature-walks-2026/
