Welcome to the Delran Township Police Department’s new addition!!!

We are so excited to announce that K-9 Ron has been donated to the Delran Township Police Department to begin his career as a narcotics detection and community policing canine. We are so thankful for everyone that was invested in his success and supported him during his journey from a rescue dog in need of a second chance to trained police canine.

For those of you that are new to our page, K-9 Ron was rescued from Minneapolis Animal Care Center by a local rescue where he lived with a foster. He then entered our program and was trained in narcotics detection. Because of his breed Ron struggled to find a job as a police canine. He worked hard every day, attended seminars with some of the top trainers in the world and never gave up. Then as a result of networking by one of his biggest supporters, he was introduced to the Delran Police Department. The department was open minded and gave Ron the opportunity to showcase his skills and personality. He quickly won over the department and township officials. Ron is currently in handlers school and will be ready to join his new community in the very near future. Check Ron out on Instagram

It is with heavy hearts that the Delran Emergency Squad acknowledges the passing of Paramedic Neal Hileman, who dedicated many years to serving our community with compassion, skill, and unwavering commitment.

Neal was a mentor to countless EMTs and firefighters who came through out New Jersey always willing to share knowledge, lend support, and lead by example. His impact on prehospital care in our region will be felt for years to come.
