As our anniversary month comes to a close, we’re reflecting on how far we’ve come and where we’re headed. 💙
For more than 50 years, the Delray Beach Downtown Development Authority has worked to support our businesses, enhance our downtown, create memorable experiences, and help preserve the charm that makes Delray Beach so special.
From promoting Downtown Delray through signature events like Art & Jazz on the Avenue, Savor the Avenue, and First Friday Art Walk, to advocating for local businesses, investing in beautification projects, holiday decorations, lighting, signage, public spaces, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming downtown, everything we do is centered around strengthening the economic vitality of our downtown district and supporting the people who make it thrive.
This photo is especially meaningful, featuring our Executive Director, Laura Simon, alongside her father, the founder of the DDA. It’s a reminder that Downtown Delray has always been built on passion, vision, and people who care deeply about this community.
We are proud to honor our history, celebrate the relationships that have shaped our downtown, and continue building a vibrant future; helping businesses grow, welcoming new opportunities, and creating memorable experiences for residents and visitors alike. What is most important is preserving the coastal small-town character we all love.
We are incredibly passionate about what we do, and even more grateful to be part of a community that feels like family.
