Drivers should use caution in active work areas and be prepared for slower traffic and temporary delays while crews are working.

Swancreek Township Fall Cleanup Days 2026

Swancreek Township residents are invited to take advantage of our Fall Cleanup Days this October.

Dates: October 14 through October 17, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Location: Swancreek Township Building
5565 County Road D, Delta, OH 43515

This service is available to Swancreek Township residents only. A valid photo ID or driver’s license showing a Swancreek Township address is required at drop off.

Accepted items include:
• Large household appliances
• Furniture
• Televisions
• Scrap metal
• Car batteries

Refrigerators and other appliances containing freon must be tagged to show the freon was professionally removed.

Items that cannot be accepted:
• Tires
• Paint cans
• Household batteries
• Dead animals
• Hazardous materials
• Construction site debris

Please limit the quantity of items you bring so the service remains available to as many residents as possible. Items should be placed neatly in the designated containers to help maximize available space.

Please note that this is drop off only. Senior pickup service is no longer available.

Swancreek Township residents are invited to stop by the Township Hall this Saturday, August 15, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM for our Township Open House.

Come meet the people who help serve our community, ask questions, and learn more about Township services and operations.

Representatives will be available from Township Administration, Roads and Maintenance, the Water District, Zoning, Township Boards and Committees, and local fire departments.

Swancreek Township is pleased to announce that it has been awarded more than $14,000 through the Ohio Department of Transportation's Township Safety Sign Grant Program.

This grant will allow the Township to continue its proactive approach to infrastructure maintenance while reducing the financial impact on local taxpayers. By securing outside funding, Swancreek Township can invest in critical public safety improvements while preserving local road maintenance funds for other essential infrastructure needs.

The Township maintains more than 46 miles of Township roadways, and traffic signs are routinely inspected as part of its ongoing roadway maintenance program. Grant funding will be used to replace essential roadway signs that have reached the end of their useful life, improve the visibility of traffic control devices, and help ensure compliance with current roadway safety standards.

These improvements will enhance the safety of motorists, school buses, emergency responders, cyclists, and pedestrians while allowing the Township to complete needed upgrades without placing an additional burden on local taxpayers. Swancreek Township remains committed to seeking grant opportunities that improve public infrastructure and maximize the responsible use of taxpayer resources.

Special Meeting Notice

The Swancreek Township Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the Swancreek Township offices, 5565 County Road D in Delta.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Swanton fire service contract with Fire Chief Kepling and Councilwoman Westhoven, as well as begin planning for the 2027 budget.
