Today at 3:17pm, Delta Volunteer Fire Department was paged out for an 18-Wheeler that the cab was fully engulfed in flames located at the 187.8MM, Westbound just as you get off the Mississippi River Bridge. With the assistance from the Tallulah Fire Department & the Warren County Fire Department, we were able to get it contained & eventually off the road. A HUGE Thank you to Tallulah Fire Department & Warren County Fire Department for the assist with water, tools & manpower.

Madison Parish Police Jury President Jane Sanders issued a temporary parishwide burn ban Tuesday, Aug. 18, because of dry conditions and the risk of brush and forest fires.

Crash has been cleared!! Traffic is still backed up. It will take a while to clear out.

First responders are on scene of a 3 car crash on I-20 East abound, directly under the Delta over pass which is at the 186 mile marker. Injuries were reported. Traffic will continue to back up due to this & the bridge lane closure. Please drive carefully through here so we can get this cleaned up.
