Delta Vol Fire department was paged out to the west bound scales for brakes that got too hot & were smoking. By the time we arrived, there were visible flames. With the help of Tallulah Engine 11 we were able to get it knocked out pretty quickly. Thank you Tallulah for the assist! 🖤❤️‍🔥🖤❤️‍🔥

Update: Water will be back on at 8pm. We will all be under a boil water notice!

Water for the Village of Delta is shut off until further notice. Walnut Bayou has two leaks that they are currently working hard to locate & repair. At this time, we do not have an estimate on water restoration. We will keep yall all updated & give more info out as we get it.

Great job to all Law Enforcement agencies & especially the officers who were involved in capturing a suspected murder suspect! Thank you to The Delta Marshals Office, Madison Parish Sheriffs Office, Warren County Sheriff’s Office & Louisiana state police for the assistance in making these arrests safely!! No officers, civilians or suspects were harmed. Good job guys!!
