Today marked another major milestone for the City of Deltona, Florida as Amazon.com officially opened its new Distribution Center.

What makes this facility especially significant is that it is the only Amazon distribution center of its kind in the State of Florida, supplying other Amazon facilities throughout the region and helping keep one of the world’s largest logistics networks moving.

With the addition of the upcoming Trinity project, Amazon’s total investment in Deltona is approaching half a billion dollars. That investment goes far beyond buildings. It includes hundreds of millions of dollars in construction, machinery, equipment, inventory, and most importantly, people. Those dollars will continue circulating throughout our local economy, supporting families, businesses, and creating opportunities for generations to come.

Amazon first invested in Deltona in 2020. At a time when many businesses were closing their doors, Amazon was hiring, investing, and helping ensure families could safely receive the products they needed at home. They believed in Deltona then, and they continue to believe in Deltona today.

These are not just jobs. They are careers. Whether you are looking to enter the workforce, advance your career, or pursue opportunities in logistics, manufacturing, supply chain operations, leadership, or executive management, those opportunities exist right here in Deltona.

This is what economic development looks like. This is what investment in a community looks like. This is the American story.

Thank you to Amazon for continuing to invest in our City of Destiny and for creating opportunities for our residents.

This morning, I had the opportunity to attend the Annual Hispanic Chamber of Central Florida Legislative Forum and hear important updates from our State Legislators. It was a great discussion on issues impacting our communities, businesses, and future growth.

Thank you to our State Representatives for taking the time to engage with residents and community leaders. I also want to express my appreciation to the presenting sponsors, AdventHealth leaders Khelsea Bauer and Eric Lunde, for supporting this informative event.

A special thank you to Josh Goergen for doing an outstanding job moderating the panel and facilitating a productive conversation.

I would also like to thank the Hispanic Chamber of Central Florida for organizing and hosting this important forum. Bringing together elected officials, business leaders, and community members for meaningful conversations helps strengthen our region and create opportunities for collaboration.

Events like this are a great reminder of the importance of working together to build a stronger future for our communities.

Today marks 82 years since D Day, when Allied forces launched the largest seaborne invasion in history and changed the course of World War II. On the beaches of Normandy, brave men made extraordinary sacrifices in defense of freedom, knowing the cost could be their own lives.

As Americans, we owe a debt of gratitude to the heroes who answered the call that day. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to liberty helped secure a better future for generations to come.

Today, we remember them, we honor them, and we ensure their legacy is never forgotten. May God bless our veterans, our military, and the United States of America. 🇺🇸
