The Foundation had the honor of awarding the Terri Speegle Classroom Innovation Grant to Mrs. Janie Basinger, 2nd grade teacher at Westside Elementary .
This grant seeks to transform the learning environment by integrating cutting-edge educational tools, methodologies and technologies to enhance student engagement, foster collaboration, and cultivate critical thinking. This grant is designed to support teachers in exploring innovative instructional strategies that can effectively address diverse learning needs and improve academic outcomes.
Mrs. Basinger's grant is for Merge Cubes, which provides opportunities for students to actively engage with content across multiple subjects making learning immersive and interactive through hands-on, interactive augmented reality experiences.
