DHS DECA attended DECA’s International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, GA April 24 - 29.
🔹Our State Officer, Peyton, was busy helping Alabama chapters check in, listening to National Officer Campaigns, building leadership skills at the Empower workshop, collaborating and networking with fellow state officers from Alabama and across the country, and ultimately voting on next year’s National DECA officers.
🔹Piper competed against over 100 other students from all over the world and built her network when she wasn’t preparing for the competition.
🔹Amelia attended the Thrive leadership workshops where she applied networking, collaboration, communications, critical thinking and creativity skills.
🥳When we were done, we attended DECA night at Six Flags and the College Football Hall of Fame.
🤩We left with inspiration and many ideas to implement next school year!
