Emergency Shelter provides crisis intervention and support services for those who are not safe in their own home.
24-Hour Crisis Intervention Services available via a hotline answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Legal Advocacy provides assistance in obtaining Temporary Protective and Stalking Orders, pursuing misdemeanor criminal warrants, and applying for Victimβs Compensation. Mobile Advo
cacy assists those who do not need shelter or legal advocacy but desire support services and assistance relocating. Support Groups are offered weekly and allow survivors to express their feelings in a confidential and supportive atmosphere where they are surrounded by others who are or have been, in similar situations. Children's Advocacy provides mentoring, recreational activities, enrichment activities, individual counseling, support groups, school liaison services, and age-appropriate safety planning. Personal/Financial Advocacy including facilitating referrals and/or providing agency resources to meet individual needs. Prevention Program to provide violence prevention curriculum in K-12 and on college campuses. Community Education and Awareness includes in-service training and presentations about domestic violence and agency services. Thrift Store Program includes two Thrift Store locations in Habersham County. Proceeds from the sale of donated items benefit the emergency shelter and support services provided to victims, while other donated items directly benefit families moving into new housing.
