Major Source Air Permit for Air Products complex splits speakers at DEQ hearing
Livingston Parish Councilman Dean Coates for Parish Council District #8 was the only elected official to speak at the hearing, opposing the project over risks to Lake Maurepas and property owner rights.

Last night, I was elected President of the Livingston Parish Young Republicans.
I’m honored for the opportunity to serve alongside a strong team. Congratulations to Caleb Franklin on his re-election as Treasurer and Brandon Babcock on his re-election as Secretary. I also want to congratulate Maxwell Bayles as our new Vice President and Tiffany Hodges as our new Recruitment Chair.

While I haven’t held an officer role in the Young Republicans for a few years, I’m grateful to step back in and help lead this chapter forward. I believe we have a real opportunity to grow our organization, strengthen our presence in the parish, and equip the next generation of conservative leaders.

I also want to sincerely thank our outgoing officers for their service and commitment. Their work has helped lay the foundation we are building on today.
