🎉 Congratulations to our August Teacher & Staff Member of the Month! 🎉

Each month, our faculty and staff will recognize colleagues who exemplify a special character trait and help make South Fork Junior High an exceptional place for our students and one another.

For August, our focus was WELCOMING. We wanted to recognize those who helped set a positive tone for the start of the school year and made students and colleagues feel included and supported from day one. 💙🩶

Our first SFJH Club Day is Wednesday, September 16th. Students may join one club, in addition to BETA if eligible.

To join a club, students must pay the required Club Fee through SchoolCash Online. Club fee payments will open Monday, September 7 at 7:00 a.m. and close Sunday, September 13 at 11:00 p.m.

Please keep the following in mind:
-- Club membership is limited. Once a club reaches its maximum number of members, no additional students will be able to join.
-- A student's spot in a club is secured once the Club Fee has been paid through SchoolCash Online.
-- Students may not attend club meetings until their Club Fee has been paid.
-- Students with outstanding school fees or debts must pay those balances before joining a club.

We encourage students and families to complete payment early if there is a specific club they would like to join, as some clubs may fill quickly.

👏 Kendall Vaughn, one of our 8th grade students, did an outstanding job representing South Fork Junior High at tonight’s Livingston Parish School Board meeting! Kendall helped lead the Pledge of Allegiance and participated in a brief interview with Superintendent Purvis and members of the School Board. 🤩

What a night for our Broncos!

Congratulations to our South Fork football players, coaches, cheerleaders, and everyone who helped make game night a success on a dominant 36–0 victory over Juban Parc!

The Bronco offense came out firing, scoring four quick touchdowns in the first half, while our defense absolutely swarmed all night long! South Fork allowed ZERO first downs, recorded multiple tackles for loss, and even recovered a fumble for a touchdown!

We are so proud of the energy, effort, and Bronco spirit on display both on the field and on the sidelines!

Bronco fans, make plans to join us next Thursday as we stay home to take on our crosstown rival, North Corbin!

Let’s pack the stands and cheer on our Broncos! 🤍💙

Important information for Livingston Parish Schools families and students: Act 305 of the 2026 Regular Legislative Session established new penalties for ma*****na possession in school zones. These changes took effect on Aug. 1, 2026, and include increased criminal penalties.
LP Schools campuses are drug free zones. The law applies to school property, within 2,000 of school property, and on school buses.
Families and students are encouraged to review the attached information to learn more about the law and the penalties associated with violations.

Parents/Guardians,

Walker High School welcomes our junior high families to attend their athletic events. To help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests, Walker High has established guidelines that must be followed when attending events on their campus.

Please review the guidelines below from Walker High School before making plans to attend any of their high school athletic events. These guidelines are very similar to those we have established for SFJH athletic events.

Please also remember that junior high student drop-offs are NOT permitted for Walker High School athletic events or South Fork Junior High athletic events. Junior high students must be accompanied by a parent/guardian, who must remain with them for the entire event.
