๐Ÿ˜What a great June meeting!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

๐Ÿ˜We were honored to welcome Delia Taylor as our keynote speaker. Delia shared exciting updates on the future of the Livingston Parish airport and the economic growth, business development, and opportunities it is expected to bring to our parish.

๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธOne of the most meaningful moments of the day was former State Representative and current candidate for District Attorney Sherman Mack presenting First Class Petty Officer Jacob Daniel Roberts (AT1), of the USS Gerald R. Ford, with a Louisiana State Flag. This flag will be flown over the Louisiana State Capitol for eight days in recognition of his service, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to defending our nation. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

๐Ÿ˜We also enjoyed hearing from Denham Springs City Councilman Jim Gilbert, who shared his experience, vision, and goals as he seeks to become the next Mayor of Denham Springs.

๐Ÿ˜John Young also joined us to discuss his candidacy for Public Service Commissioner and the experience and leadership he hopes to bring to the position.

๐Ÿถ๐ŸฑWe were also pleased to welcome Amanda Forde, Director of the Livingston Parish Animal Shelter. We collected donations to help care for the animals in her charge. Thank you to everyone who generously donated to help feed and support these precious fur babies. Your kindness and compassion make a difference!

๐Ÿ˜Thank you to everyone who attended and participated. Meetings like these remind us how important it is to stay informed, engaged, and involved in the future of our parish and state.

We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing everyone at our next meeting!

Weโ€™re excited to announce that our title sponsor and Grand Marshal for this yearโ€™s parade will be our very own Sheriff Jason Ard!

Since we launched this endeavor to bring patriotism to one of the most freedom loving communities in the nation, Sheriff Ard and his deputies have been instrumental in advancing the safety and success of our parade.

Sheriff Ard will also sponsor the Grand Finale Fireworks as we commemorate and celebrate 250 years of Godโ€™s grace over our country and community.

๐Ÿšง Help Shape the Future of I-12 ๐Ÿšง

If you travel I-12, DOTD wants your input.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is developing an I-12 Corridor Master Plan to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and prepare for future growth across our region.

I have secured millions of dollars in transportation funding for our district, and as we look to the future, your input is critical in helping identify the next priorities for the I-12 corridor.

Interstate 12 is one of the most important transportation corridors in Southeast Louisiana. From daily commutes and school drop-offs to moving goods and supporting local businesses, thousands of residents rely on I-12 every day.

As DOTD develops the I-12 Corridor Master Plan, they are seeking public input to better understand the challenges drivers face and identify priorities for the future. Your feedback will help shape recommendations aimed at improving safety, mobility, and traffic flow along the corridor.

I encourage residents throughout Tangipahoa and Livingston Parishes to take a few minutes to complete the survey and share their experiences.
