As a result of the August 2016 flooding event where the Amite River crested five feet above historic flood level, the City of Denham Springs was approached to embark on an unknown journey to complete a long term recovery plan for the City. We are working on a long term recovery plan that will help us bounce back and be stronger than ever. Community input is a critical part of this process. There w
ill be three open house community meetings for the public to attend. These meetings will gather ideas for a vision for Denham Springs, address issues and use this information to drive future projects. Flood recovery issues are an integral part of our community based long term recovery plan. But, all community related projects will be addressed by our Recovery Team. We encourage input from all Denham Springs residents.
