A little about me
I am a lifelong resident of Crawford County and a proud member of the Denison community. I have spent my entire life working hard, raising a family, and giving back to the county I call home.
I worked for 37 years at Smithfield Foods, building a career rooted in dedication, reliability, and real-world experience. Alongside that, I have been a farmer my entire life and am the owner of BJR Farms, where I understand firsthand the challenges facing agriculture, rising costs, and the importance of smart, responsible decision-making.
I have been actively involved in the Crawford County Fair, supporting youth, agriculture, and the traditions that make our county strong. I believe in economic common sense, equalized and responsible spending, and transparent county government that respects taxpayers.
As a practical conservative Republican, I am running for Crawford County Supervisor to focus on:
Responsible use of taxpayer dollars
Fair and balanced taxation
Well-maintained roads and infrastructure
Support for agriculture and small businesses
Honest, transparent local government
Smart, steady growth for Crawford County
I am a Christian, believes in God, and believes leadership should be guided by faith, integrity, and accountability. I know Crawford County because I've lived it — working the land, earning a paycheck, and being part of the community my entire life.
I am not a career politician. I'm a working Iowan ready to bring common sense, experience, and integrity to county government.
