Movies on Main is coming to the newly renovated Heritage Park on October 24th — and YOU get to decide which Halloween movie we’ll be showing!

This FREE community movie night is one you DON’T want to miss, but first… VOTE for the movie YOU want to see!

Learn about resources and support for seniors, caregivers, and families while connecting with local care professionals.

Lunch will be provided at no cost to those who register.

Due to necessary structural repairs, Waterloo Pool will be closed until further notice. This measure comes after an evaluation by our Fire Marshal's Office and is out of an abundance of caution for patrons, and staff.

We know Waterloo Pool is a special place for so many families in our community, especially during the summer months. We share in the disappointment of those who were looking forward to spending time at the pool.

City staff will be reaching out directly to groups and individuals with pre-scheduled programming and reservations to discuss next steps.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this closure may cause. We appreciate our community’s patience and understanding as staff continues work with consultants to determine the best path forward.

Friday Night Starts at the Tailgate 🏈💛

The Yellow Jacket game-day experience starts long before kickoff! Join us Friday at Forest Park for an evening filled with tailgating, community, and plenty of Yellow Jacket spirit.

Bring the whole family and enjoy food, vendors, radio, inflatables, and activities before the excitement kicks off. At 5:15 PM, watch the Yellow Jackets make their walk down Touchdown Alley before heading into the stadium.

Then, get ready for an epic Drum Off featuring the DISD Band and Sherman ISD Band before cheering on the Yellow Jackets as they take on Sherman!

And while you're enjoying the tailgate, be sure to stop by the Parks and Recreation tent. If you're our contest winner, that's where you'll pick up this year's team-autographed football!

Denison on Ice — Now Hiring!

Denison on Ice is hiring for the upcoming season. We are currently accepting applications for:

Rink Managers (Ages 18+)
Rink Associates (Ages 16+)
Maintenance (Ages 18+)

Seasonal positions will begin in November and will support rink operations throughout the holiday season.

If you are dependable, enjoy working with the public, and are interested in seasonal employment, we encourage you to apply early. Positions are limited, and hiring will take place as roles are filled.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

The wait is over. Fall Sand Volleyball League registration is officially open.

Get your team together and get ready for Sunday evenings at THF Park starting September 20.

4-on-4 Coed Sand Volleyball
Ages 16+
Sunday evenings
Team fee: $100

Choose your level:

A — Competitive
For teams with solid ball control, consistent passing, setting, and hitting, and the ability to place serves where desired.

B — Recreational
For teams with some ball control, an understanding of the bump-set-hit, and an understanding of the rules.

LOCATION
THF Park
3801 S. U.S. Hwy 75

A few important reminders:

• Teams must register as a team.
• Only one team member needs to register for the entire team.
• Coed teams must have at least two female players.
• Short-handed teams must maintain at least 50% female players on the court.
• All players must sign the team roster before the first game.
• Official outdoor balls will be provided.

Registration closes September 13.

Round up your crew, pick your division, and get registered. We'll see you on the sand.
