Texoma Community Foundation

Texoma Community Foundation 2 in 3 Texoma residents reported a lack of hope & purpose. Serving Bryan, Fannin, Grayson & Marshall Counties and two tribal nations in TX & OK.

We’re working to change that — through grantmaking, community initiatives & operation of 's Ranch House. Texoma Community Foundation (TCF) is a promise to our neighbors in Texas and Oklahoma to create a culture of wellbeing. Serving Two States: Bridging the needs of communities across Texoma, TCF is committed to ensuring access to resources and opportunities on both sides of the border. Rural

Focus: With deep roots in rural areas, we understand the unique challenges and strengths of smaller, tightly-knit communities. Tribal Nations: We are proud to partner with and support the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nations within our region, honoring their cultures and contributions to Texoma.

The 2026/2027 Community Grant Cycle is officially open!🤩

Local partnerships are a key part of how we work toward a Texoma where every person can thrive with hope and purpose. 🤝

We are looking for projects that align with our mission to support the health and well-being of our community. Our funding priorities focus on access to mental health, healthcare, or healthy living, and programs that help grow or retain the number of nurses in our region. If your organization serves residents in Bryan, Fannin, Grayson, or Marshall County, we encourage you to apply!

The application window opens June 1 and closes August 28.

"Expanding to Kingston Public Schools wasn't just about opening a new site — it was about making sure every kid in Marshall County knows they belong somewhere, too. That's what the Boys & Girls Club is here for: to help all young people reach their full potential." — Kam Sallee, CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of Red River Valley Oklahoma

The Boys and Girls Club of Red River Valley Oklahoma has been showing up for kids in Durant for years, providing after-school programs, mentorship, nutritious meals, and a safe place to grow. This past year they expanded their reach in a really exciting way: they opened a brand new site at Kingston Public Schools, bringing those same resources to Marshall County kids for the very first time.

Through the 2025-2026 grant cycle, TCF awarded $15,000 to help support this work across both Bryan and Marshall Counties. Learn more about B&G Club RRVOK at bgcrrvok.org/

This is what hope and purpose looks like in action, and we are grateful to walk alongside partners who make it real every day. 💗

All In A Day: Our team ended up with two of the best workplace wellness moments you can have - puppy snuggles, and boxing lessons from an area nonprofit.

We had the chance to spend an afternoon at The Camp, a nonprofit right here in our region doing incredible work connecting youth to boxing and mental resilience. Andre and Nekochia welcomed us as a part of their boxing family with so much patience and encouragement. We left with sore arms, big smiles, and our very own boxing gloves - an unexpected and cherished gift. 🥊🤍

Workplace wellbeing is a priority for us at TCF, and we are learning and growing in this space each and every day. Moments like these are a good reminder that it doesn't have to be complicated or conventional. We love hearing about and learning from other employers on this same journey as we build a region full of hope and purpose.

Our board member Don Riddle just raised the bar. 😇

He attended a recent committee meeting, took a seat in one of our cold metal chairs, and decided to do som**hing about it... He went and bought cushions, and came back to put them on himself. We now have the coziest (and honestly prettiest) seat cushions, and we have Don to thank for it. 🪑

This is what thoughtful leadership looks like. Thank you, Don!

This Teacher Appreciation Week, we want to share a story that's been on our hearts... 🤍

Sometimes hope looks like a quiet room and a chance to breathe.

At Sory Elementary in Sherman ISD, teachers and staff now have a wellness room where they can step away for a few minutes, take a deep breath, and reset before returning to their students. One teacher called it "a sense of calmness among the chaos" and "a home away from home."

The room came to life through a partnership between Cook Children's Center for Community Health and Texoma Community Foundation, with a shared investment of $1,000. It is a small number on paper, but it is already making a difference for the adults who carry so much for kids every day.

TCF's vision is that every Texoman has a sense of hope and purpose. Teachers live that out daily as they teach, encourage, and help students imagine what is possible.
When educators feel supported, they are better able to help the next generation discover their own sense of hope and purpose. That ripple reaches far beyond the walls of a single room.

Today is National Fentanyl Awareness Day. If you have lost a loved one to fentanyl, we are holding you in our hearts today. 🤍

Fentanyl is one of the most urgent conversations we can be part of right now in Texoma - it is the leading cause of deaths for those between the ages of 18 and 45 in the US.

Let's have conversations with our children, neighbors, and friends, and learn about the importance of carrying Naloxone (Narcan).

Be sure to only take pills prescribed to you, and know that dealers are adding fentanyl to other drugs like ma*****na, co***ne, and m**h. Even small amounts, equivalent to a few grains of sand, can take a life.

Lowering substance use rates in Texoma is one of TCF's three long-term goals. And at the heart of all of it is a simple belief: that every Texoman deserves to feel a sense of hope and purpose.

What a special evening! Adrianne & Olivia had the honor of representing TCF at the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits ONE Awards in Tulsa last Saturday. A heartfelt thank you to our friend and board member, Seth Fairchild, for inviting us to join his table with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

From Bryan County to organizations all across Oklahoma, it was beautiful to see so many nonprofits recognized for the incredible work they do every day.

Thank you to OKCNP for all you are doing to champion nonprofits across the state of Oklahoma. 🤍
