Officer Leach did the last Staff Edition Riddle of the Week and Mrs. Price won a Sonic gift card! Way to go Mrs. Price!! Can you figure out this riddle. I'm taken from a mine and shut inside a wooden case, from which I am never released, but I am used in school.

Kindergarten had an ABC parade today and he picked the letter P so he could be a police officer like Officer Leach!

It was a dress up day at Lamar Elementary today! Kids learned about fantasy, fairytale and folktale stories in the library. Looks like Officer Leach had fun!

Proud of you for being a leader!

Habit #1 from Leader in Me is to Be Proactive. Today, 2nd Grade Student David Hernandez showed what it means to be proactive by keep the school clean. Where many individuals walked by a piece of trash, David stopped, picked it up, and threw it in the trash. Officer Brumlow was there to witness this great care for our school and Leader in Me habit in motion. As a result, he gifted David with a challenge coin. Way to go David! Thank you, David, for being a great leader at Terrell!

This is why we show up everyday, not just to protect, but to build relationships and be a mentor. A student that graduated the Choice Program came back to bring Officer Brandenburg a graduation invitation! Thank you Officer Brandenburg for being a great role model!!

Last night Assistant Chief Luper and Officer Brandenburg grilled for the Career Technology Education group. The meeting was to educate incoming 8th graders about graduation requirements and career education programs.

Last week we partnered with Texas Department of Transportation and Texas A&M Agrilife Extension to bring the Impaired Driving course and education to juniors and seniors!
