Fantastic program for our support staff and the students they serve now and in the future! Thank you Maryland State Department of Education for the support.

Maryland has officially registered its first 67 teacher apprentices through the MSDE statewide Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program (RTAP), supported by the Grow Your Own Educators Grant Program and approved by the Maryland Department of Labor.

Developed in partnership with MD Labor, the Maryland State Education Association, local school systems, and higher education institutions, RTAP offers a structured, “earn while you learn” pathway to becoming a licensed Maryland teacher.

Shoutout to our pioneering school systems: Caroline County Public Schools, Charles County Public Schools, Washington County Public Schools, and Worcester County Public Schools MD!

Sheriff’s Office Investigating Social Media Posts Referencing Caroline County Schools

CAROLINE COUNTY, MARYLAND — The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office is aware of social media posts circulating on TikTok associated with a social media trend commonly referred to as “The Cat in the Hat.”

The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office has been actively investigating multiple videos associated with this trend that reference or depict schools located within Caroline County. At this time, the Sheriff’s Office has identified no credible threat to any Caroline County Public School.

The investigations into these videos remain ongoing. The Caroline County Sheriff’s Office is working in coordination with Caroline County Public Schools and will continue to investigate any information or social media activity that could potentially impact the safety of students, staff, or school facilities.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds students, parents, and members of the community that threatening or concerning content posted on social media should be reported immediately to law enforcement or school officials.

Anyone with information regarding these videos, the individuals responsible for creating or posting them, or any related social media activity is asked to contact the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office.
