Last week, the Denton ISD Council of PTAs had the honor of presenting our 2025–2026 State of the Council Report to the Denton ISD Board of Trustees!

We celebrated the incredible impact and accomplishments of our Council and local PTAs over the past year, while also sharing our vision and goals for 2026–2027.

We were also able to celebrate with the district as they recognized our two Denton ISD PTAs designated as National PTA Schools of Excellence for 2025–2027:

⭐ Cheek Middle School PTA

It was truly an evening of recognition, celebration, and PTA pride! ❤️

We are so proud of the work happening across Denton ISD and grateful for every PTA leader, volunteer, family member, staff member and community partner helping us fuel the future for every child! 🏁❤️

The Head Start Award is all about getting the year off to a strong start! 💪

To earn it, local PTAs need to reach 85% of their total membership from last year by August 31st. And guess what?! SO many of our Denton ISD PTAs are super close! 🎉

Now we need our PTA community to help them cross that finish line! 🏁

A HUGE congratulations to the PTAs who have officially made it into the Good Standing Club! 🎉👏

You’ve crossed an important milestone—and we want to see more of our Denton ISD PTAs join you!

There’s still time to get your PTA across the finish line! 🏎️💨 To achieve Good Standing by October 31, PTAs need to:

✅ Have at least 20 members reported
✅ Have at least 1 registered leader
✅ Have current bylaws & standing rules
✅ File your 990-EZ or 990-N
