Caroline County Recreation & Parks is a division of Caroline County Government and the Caroline County Commissioners and Youth services represent the largest portion of the total recreation division budget and a majority of the public programs developed and managed by the Department. Services in this category are either self-supporting with revenues generated from fees, grants and private sponsors
hips, or they are partially subsidized with general tax funds. Adult and senior services comprises the smallest service category in the division. All services are self-supporting and focus primarily on adult educational classes and karate instruction. Special Event and Family Services reflects a variety of large and small special event and special service programs both managed and facilitated by this division. The division includes events like Caroline Summerfest, Two Mile Turkey Trot Fun Run, Youth Fishing Derby, and Christmas Holiday programming. All of these services are self-supporting through fees, private sponsorships and a liberal use of volunteers. 1.As a governmental entity, Caroline County must abide by certain standards to serve all its constituents in a civil and unbiased manner
2.The intended purpose behind establishing County social media sites is to disseminate information from and about Caroline County
3.Content consisting of any of the following shall not be permitted on the County social media sites and is subject to removal.
•Content not related to the original topic, including content that is random or unintelligible;
•Profane, obscene, violent, or pornographic content and/ or language;
•Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, national origin, or any protected status;
•Defamatory or personal attacks;
•Threats to any person or organization;
•Content is support of, or in opposition to, any political campaigns or ballot measures;
•Solicitation of commerce, including but not limited to advertising of any business or product for sale;
•Content in violation of any federal, state, or local law;
•Encouragement of illegal activity;
•Information that may tend to compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems; or
•Content that violates a legal ownership interest, such as a copyright, or any party.
4. The County government reserves the right to ban or block users from its page for violations of this Code of Conduct, and to report such conduct to Facebook and to law enforcement where necessary.
