🍀 Exciting Things Are Happening in Ag Leadership 4-H!

Our Ag Leadership 4-H Club recently gathered at Southmont Baptist Church for a meeting filled with learning, leadership, and a little something sweet!

Club Parliamentarian Campbell Real led members through a fun, hands-on lesson about parliamentary procedure. Members put their new skills to the test by using proper meeting procedures to create a candy salad! 🍬

The club also kicked off its latest fundraiser, a raffle featuring three different fi****ms.

Way to go, Ag Leadership 4-H, for making learning fun while building valuable leadership skills! 👏🍀

🍀 Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarship Virtual Training

Are you interested in learning more about the Texas 4-H Opportunity Scholarship Program? Join us for a virtual training on Monday, November 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. to learn more about the scholarship application process and how 4-H members can prepare for this opportunity. The Texas 4-H Foundation awards over $2.7 million in scholarships annually to deserving 4-H members based on academic achievement, 4-H involvement, and financial need. This training is also a great opportunity for families with younger 4-H members! It can help parents and youth understand how to start "building a 4-H resume" early by participating in projects, leadership opportunities, community service, and other 4-H activities long before their senior year. Whether your child is preparing to apply for scholarships or just beginning their 4-H journey, this training can help your family plan for future success!

🍀 Celebrating National 4-H Week at Commissioners Court! 🍀

Last week, our Denton County 4-H members had the opportunity to visit Denton County Commissioners Court in recognition of National 4-H Week!

Our 4-H youth did an outstanding job sharing highlights of the many programs, activities, and community service projects they are involved in throughout the year. From developing leadership skills to giving back to their communities, these young people are great examples of what 4-H is all about! 💚

👏 We are incredibly proud of our members for representing Denton County 4-H with confidence and professionalism!

A special thank you to the Denton County Commissioners Court for recognizing National 4-H Week and for your continued support of our youth development program. Your support helps us continue building young leaders who are Beyond Ready for the future!

🍀 ONE DAY 4-H, THREE WAYS TO GIVE BACK! 💚

This past weekend, Denton County 4-H members, families, and volunteers rolled up their sleeves and made a difference in our communities as part of One Day 4-H!

One Day 4-H is a statewide day of service that encourages 4-H members to put our pledge into action by giving back to the communities we call home. This year, our county participated in three awesome service projects!

🛣️ Denton County 4-H – Adopt-a-Highway
Members and volunteers spent their morning cleaning up a two-mile stretch of FM 455 near Lake Ray Roberts, helping keep our Texas roadsides beautiful!

🌳 Argyle 4-H – Unity Park Cleanup
Argyle 4-H partnered with Keep Argyle Beautiful to pick up litter at Unity Park, making the park a cleaner and more enjoyable place for everyone!

🐴 Heart of Denton 4-H – Patches Place
Heart of Denton 4-H members volunteered at Patches Place, helping set up for their Fall Fest and running a craft table for attendees. They even got to spend some time with the horses!

👏 A huge THANK YOU to every 4-H member, parent, volunteer, and community partner who helped make these projects possible!

These projects are a great reminder that 4-H is about more than projects and competitions. It’s about developing young leaders who understand the importance of serving others and making their communities better.

Planning to participate in the upcoming major livestock shows? Be sure to complete your entry paperwork and submit payment through the Denton County Extension Office by the deadline!

🍀 Thank You for Supporting Denton County 4-H! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported this year's Denton County 4-H Parent Leaders Association raffle! Whether you purchased tickets, helped sell them, or encouraged others to participate, your support helps make great opportunities possible for our 4-H members!

We also want to give a special shoutout to Kimberly Rudder and Rosalie, our top two ticket sellers! 👏🏆

Thanks to the generosity of Rebell’D, both received $100 gift certificates to purchase some Denton County swag as a reward for their hard work!

💚 We are incredibly grateful to Rebell’D for donating these prizes and supporting our 4-H youth!

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this fundraiser a success. We couldn't do it without our amazing 4-H families and community supporters!

🍳👩‍🍳 **Cooking Up Creativity at the Denton County 4-H Food Challenge!** 👨‍🍳🍀

Our 4-H members put their culinary skills to the test on Monday at our County Food Challenge Contest!

Teams are challenged to create a dish using a provided key ingredient and pantry items. But the competition doesn't stop in the kitchen! Teams must also present their creations to judges, demonstrating their knowledge of nutrition, food safety, food preparation, cost analysis, and teamwork.

We are so proud of all our teams for their creativity, hard work, and dedication! Congratulations to our winners! 🎉
