TFI Texas

TFI Texas Texas Family Initiative is a private not-for-profit 501(c)(3) combining knowledge, experience and compassion to serve youth and families in Texas.

Texas Family Initiative is a part of TFI Family Services. TFI has offices in several states aside from Texas, such as Kansas, Oklahoma, Nebraska and Missouri.

As a provider of foster home supports and services, Texas Family Initiative is a partner to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) and holds contracts with them and other agencies in Texas to provide foster care services to children. We help to train, support and build foster homes so that with our help they can provide care to children in the custody of Texas DFPS.

General information

Texas Family Initiative, LLC has opened its doors to the Denton, Texas, community. We are the only foster care agency (child placing agency) located in Denton County. Our hope is to break the barrier of travel and distance for families, and to be a resource for local families to obtain training and skills to foster children from their own community!
