For quite some time I have spoken to law enforcement across the country about Tren de Aragua and other transnational gangs.

Hector Rutherford Guerrero, known as Niño Guerrero, was considered the international leader of Tren de Aragua. Although waiting for this report to be confirmed, his death will be a significant blow to the gang.

Don’t be complacent though, Tren de Aragua is still active and spreading in the US. And thanks to those who have been working tirelessly to combat their criminal activities

The U.S. military has killed Niño Guerrero, the alleged leader of Venezuela-based gang Tren de Aragua, President Trump announced Friday.

UPCOMING IN-PERSON TRAININGS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!!

Please join Blue Line Academy for our first two scheduled in-person trainings of 2026.

On May 19, 2026, I will be presenting Tren de Aragua: Understanding the New Transnational Threat, in Palm Springs, California. The following month, on June 25, 2026, I will present the class at Los Angeles HIDTA in Commerce, California.

This class presents the history of Tren de Aragua, their international activities, and their path to the United States. Students will also be exposed to case studies involving the gang in the United States and how current international activities have affected them.

As 2025 draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to thank the men and women the public safety community; law enforcement, corrections, prosecution, parole, probation, paramedics, fire and rescue, and everyone else who works tirelessly to keep their communities safe.

This has been a whirlwind year, and now I am preparing Blue Line Academy to better serve you in the new year. In 2026, we will be adding new classes to the training catalog, making in-person training available to departments and regions across the United States, and opening our training programs to our brothers and sisters in the Canadian Police Services. This year already promises to be as busy as the last.

As the new year approaches, I wish you all a wonderful, blessed, happy new year. Thank you all for everything you do, and always be safe!

This has been a busy year for me, but it's finally a wrap! 2025 was a chance to catch up with old friends and meet many new ones from all over the country. I am grateful and humbled by the opportunities I've been given.

As this year draws to a close, I would like to thank the Oregon Narcotic Enforcement Association, the Arizona Narcotic Officers Association, the International Latino Gang Investigators Association, Colorado Drug Investigators Association, Los Angeles HIDTA, Midwest Gang Investigators Association - Wisconsin Chapter, Virginia Gang Investigators Association, Texas Violent Gang Task Force, Texas Gang Investigators Association, and the International Cartel and Gang Summit for inviting me to speak to your members this year. I was truly honored to do so and I hope the training was well-received.
