Denver’s Environmental Quality Division works to assure environmental protection by providing assessment, regulatory compliance, technical assistance, environmental education, and stewardship initiatives for both private sector and city operations. Program areas include: air quality, water quality, site assessment and cleanup, solid/hazardous waste management, low-carbon transportation, energy eff

iciency, neighborhood sustainability and emergency preparedness and response. As Denver's nationally accredited local public health agency, the Department of Environmental Health (DEH) is dedicated to advancing Denver's environmental and public health goals. DEH works collaboratively with city, state and community partners to conduct education, community engagement, and enforcement to ensure healthy people, healthy pets, and a sustainable environment. Our mission is to create a city with a world class environment and healthy communities for all ages and incomes, and where the well-being of our pets also matters.
