Claudia Lifton has worked in food systems advocacy for over a decade. She now works as the State Policy Advisor for an international nonprofit, advocating for a reduction in food related greenhouse gas emissions. Claudia is the co-chair of both the Sustainable Food Policy Council and the Environmental Justice Committee of Denver’s Sustainability Advisory Council.
Previously, Claudia spent six years speaking to students, business leaders, and stakeholders about the environmental, public health, and social justice impacts of factory farming. Previously, she traveled throughout Africa and Southeast Asia working to address concerns ranging from poaching, shark finning, overfishing, water access, animal tourism exploitation, and wildlife trafficking.
