🎥 Netflix, call us. We have stories to tell.

Colorado nonprofits are strengthening communities, supporting neighbors, creating opportunities, and making a difference across our state every single day. And honestly? We think that deserves its own documentary.

Until then, we’ll keep cheering on and advocating for the incredible nonprofit sector that keeps Colorado strong. 💪

🎉 Yesterday was Nonprofit Day in Colorado! 🎉

We’re celebrating Colorado’s nonprofit community and the people who make their work possible.

From meeting critical needs and expanding opportunity to enriching Colorado through arts and culture, protecting our natural resources, and fostering civic engagement, nonprofits strengthen communities and improve quality of life across our state every day.

Yesterday, the State of Colorado officially recognized that impact as Governor Jared Polis proclaimed August 17, 2026, Nonprofit Day in Colorado, recognizing the vital role nonprofits play in communities across our state.

CNA staff were honored to be there for the proclamation, and the celebration extended beyond the state level, with Denver Mayor Mike Johnston and Grand Junction City Council also proclaiming August 17th as Nonprofit Day.

We’re proud to celebrate the more than 12,000 nonprofit organizations working across Colorado, along with the staff, volunteers, donors, advocates, and partners who power their work every day. 💙

Know a nonprofit making a difference in your community? Tag them below and help us celebrate their work!

Note: The proclamation shown here has been shortened for social media. The full proclamation is available on our website.

Hear it straight from Governor Polis. 🎊

Today, Governor Jared Polis read the official proclamation declaring August 17, 2026, Nonprofit Day in Colorado!

We’re proud to see this day recognized across Colorado, and even prouder to stand alongside the nonprofits, leaders, staff, volunteers, and supporters who make a difference in communities across our state every day.

Turn up the volume and celebrate with us!🎉

Every young person deserves to grow up feeling safe, supported, and empowered. 💚

As we celebrate 40 years of the Colorado Nonprofit Association, we're proud to recognize Project PAVE as one of our founding members and a longtime leader in violence prevention and youth empowerment.

Since 1986, Project PAVE has partnered with schools and communities to help young people build healthy relationships, develop leadership skills, and access the support they need to thrive. Through trauma-informed education, school-based therapy, family advocacy, and youth leadership programs, they're creating lasting change by preventing violence before it starts.

What makes Project PAVE's work so impactful is its commitment to meeting youth where they are and ensuring every young person feels seen, heard, and valued. By investing in today's youth, they're helping build stronger, healthier communities for tomorrow.

Thank you, Project PAVE, for your partnership, leadership, and unwavering commitment to Colorado's young people. We're honored to celebrate your impact as one of our founding members and look forward to all you'll continue to accomplish.
