Hosted inside the beautiful Tivoli Turnhalle, this year’s celebration offers a warm, vibrant, and intimate atmosphere in one of Denver’s most iconic historic spaces. The evening will feature a truly star-studded lineup, with special guest appearances, influential community leaders, and distinguished supporters coming together for an unforgettable night of inspiration, connection, and celebration.

Delila’s story is what economic self-sufficiency looks like in action.

While raising two daughters, she stayed committed to her goals through the Academies to Work – Jobs Plus Program at Westwood. In December 2025, she earned her Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from Community College of Denver. With support from her Jobs Plus coordinator, she stepped into a full-time role with the Colorado Department of Corrections and began training this summer. Soon, she’ll serve as a Correctional Officer I at the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility.

Healthy living starts with the right support.

Through our partnership with Metro Caring, Denver residents in the Mariposa neighborhood recently completed a six-week Diabetes Self-Management Workshop. Each week, they built real-life skills around nutrition, blood sugar monitoring, movement, stress management, and goal setting. Participants also completed baseline A1C testing, with follow-ups planned to track their progress over time.

It’s a small commitment that can lead to lasting change.

Investing in youth is investing in Denver's future.

Youth development means more than programs. It means giving young people real opportunities to learn, lead, and build confidence in themselves.

This year, that looked like Tech Together, an intergenerational program pairing Denver youth with older adult residents to close the digital divide and learn new skills side by side. These youth gained hands on experience and a chance to give back to their community.

This opportunity was made possible by support from partners like Denver Public Library, the Mayor's Office, the Office of Children's Affairs and AT&T.

This is why Wall of Fame matters. Funds raised go directly toward expanding youth development opportunities across Denver, funding mentorship, skills building, and programs that help young people grow into confident leaders. What a day! On Saturday, June 12th, the Mt. View & Cottages family joined Denver Mayor Mike Johnston for a Walk and Roll along South Federal Blvd, organized by Alejandra Castaneda of Pedestrian Dignity and our own Lisa Smith. The Mayor walked right alongside our residents, listened to their stories, and saw firsthand the cracked sidewalks and busy traffic they deal with every day, including cars that would not stop for walkers crossing at Mississippi and Federal.

We carried this walk in honor of Ms. Olivia, a beloved resident we lost too soon in a traffic accident near South Federal and Louisiana. Her memory is part of why we are pushing so hard for safer streets through the Vision Zero Grant. Thank you to everyone who came together to make this happen. We cannot wait to see these safety changes become real.

Over the past 15 years, Friends of DHA has grown from its founding as Denver Community Ventures into a vital force supporting families across Denver. Along the way, we have built strong community partnerships through initiatives like Colorado Gives Day, the Denver Colfax Marathon, and the 9NEWS Holiday Gift Card Drive, while continuing to expand programs that support economic self-sufficiency.

From expanding workforce development opportunities, to supporting senior wellness, to growing youth education and employment pathways, our work continues to meet the evolving needs of our communities.

This milestone is not only a reflection of how far we have come, but a reminder of the work still ahead.
