Capital Hill United Neighborhood recently gave their Neighborhood Character Award to Humboldt Street Neighborhood Association. This acknowledgement honors all the hard work that so many have put in for many years and most recently in our efforts to protect all Denver neighborhoods from possible negative impact of parking exemptions for larger
Developments on small lots. David Engelken and Tricia Huth collected the award at a recent CHUN awards dinner. Thank you to so many of you for years of hard work and dedication to this wonderful block!

Update on progress of Small Lot Parking Exemption Moratorium and Steering Committee work.

The Denver City and County Small Lot Parking Exemption Steering Committee (SC) formed in response to the citywide moratorium on development of small lots with full parking exemption, presented findings and proposed recommendations to the Inter-neighborhood Cooperation Zoning and Planning Committee (ZAP) last Saturday, Dec. 3rd, 2017.

New planning initiative (NPI) announced by City and County of Denver. Why do we need more neighborhood planning? Currently, only about 20 percent of Denver has an up-to-date area plan. The rest of the city either has a plan that predates 2002’s Blueprint Denver land use and transportation plan, or has no plan at all.
