Range of Motion Project

Range of Motion Project The Range of Motion Project, a 501(c)(3), aims to provide prosthetic limbs and orthotic braces to those without resources throughout the world.

9 out of 10 amputees worldwide do NOT have access to quality prosthetic care. The Range of Motion Project (ROMP) believes that amputees are not disabled because of a missing limb, but because of a missing prosthesis. ROMP was founded to create a more equal distribution of prosthetic services throughout the world.

ROMP has developed a proven model to deliver high-quality prosthetic care to people with amputation.

Now, we’re focused on scaling that impact.

Our strategy is simple: share the model, expand access, and reach more patients than ever before.

In 2026, we will implement MoviliApp in two new countries in Latin America—bringing coordinated care and mobility to even more people.

Help us continue this work.

It starts with a step.

In Guatemala, we brought our first volunteer program of 2026 to life—bringing together a global and local team to restore mobility and create new beginnings.

• 6 volunteers
• 7 prosthetists
• 138 lbs of recycled components
• 18 prostheses delivered
• 17 patients served

Each moment represents time, skill, and care—made possible by people committed to expanding access to mobility.

Recycling prosthetic components is one of the most powerful ways to expand access to mobility.

So far this year, we’ve sent 32 boxes of components to our clinics in Guatemala and Ecuador — but patients are still waiting.

In the first 3 months of 2026, we organized 2 Limb Disassembly Days as part of our strategy to expand component recycling across the United States.

A $50 donation can ship a box of components to the field.

Help us recycle more mobility.

95% of the prosthetic components we use are recycled — giving new life to materials and restoring mobility to patients.

As part of our new strategy, we are expanding component recycling to meet the growing demand in Guatemala and Ecuador.

In 2026, we will host 6 Limb Disassembly Days across the United States to increase access to high-quality components.

Be part of this historic movement.
Donate components and help us keep mobility moving forward.

Last week our Executive Director Jonathan Naber made a presentation at the American Academy of Prosthetists & Orthotists in Nashville, speaking about ROMP’s research collaboration with the University of Washington in Guatemala.

Collaboration is key to meeting the demand for care and sharing the ROMP model worldwide, and we are glad to partner with UW Rehab Med, Penta Medical Recycling, ALPS South as we fight to make immobility a thing of the past.
