We’re proud to recognize ELHS Percussion Caption Head Ethan Morton for his participation in the 2026 Drum Corps International Summer Tour with the Music City Drum and Bugle Corps!

Continuing to perform at this level is a powerful example of lifelong learning — continuing to grow, refine your craft and bring new experiences back to those you teach.

We are extremely fortunate to have Ethan as part of the instructional team at East Lincoln and look forward to the knowledge, skill and experiences he’ll bring back to our percussionists this fall - WITH PRIDE! 💚🧡

🎶 FROM EAST LINCOLN TO THE DCI WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS! 🎶

We are incredibly proud to celebrate three East Lincoln Performing Ensemble alumni who are spending their summer performing on the 2026 Drum Corps International Summer Tour -

Ben Conversi - Class of 2023 - with the Boston Crusaders
Austin Milam - Class of 2025 - with Music City
Abigail Alvarez - Class of 2026 - with River City Rhythm!

Seeing their talent and PRIDE live on as they continue bringing artistry into the world through music - that started right here at East Lincoln - is so affirming and inspiring for all of us! What an incredible accomplishment to perform at this level, and what a thrill to watch each of them continue growing as musicians, performers and artists on some of the biggest stages in the marching arts!

All the best to Ben, Austin and Abi - and to their respective corps - as they experience DCI World Championships weekend in Indianapolis! We hope they soak up every second, make memories that last a lifetime and have the absolute time of their lives!

Today, we celebrate something truly special.

The East Lincoln Performing Ensembles have been recognized by the North Carolina Bandmasters Association as a Program of Distinction—the highest level of recognition within the NCBA Program of Merit. This honor reflects a sustained commitment to excellence in musical performance, student achievement, leadership, advocacy and community engagement.

While this recognition bears our school's name, it belongs to every person who has invested in this program.

To our incredible students who pour countless hours into rehearsals and performances...

To our dedicated directors and staff who inspire excellence every single day...

To our amazing Band Boosters who work tirelessly behind the scenes...

To our school and district administrators who believe in and support the arts...

And to our alumni, families and community whose encouragement makes this program possible...

It was a great start last week to bringing the 2026 production of “Behind the Veil” to life, and a fantastic season is already beginning to take shape!

As Week 2 begins tomorrow, we are excited to see all the firsts of the season continue to develop as more of the production is revealed and memories are made!
