We are so honored to be one of nine DPS schools that have been named winners of the Governor’s Distinguished Improvement Awards!

This award is given to schools that demonstrate exceptional student growth. On the school performance framework that is used by the state to evaluate schools, these schools “exceed” expectations on the indicator related to longitudinal academic growth at all grade levels.

Due to the chilly temperatures we will have indoor morning. Students can come into the building starting at 7:55. We will go outside for recess so please layer and label those layers for your kids!

We know making Round 1 SchoolChoice decisions is a huge task and we’d love to help you see if Swigert is a great fit for your family! We can’t wait to show you around our school, introduce you to our staff, and let you look at our IB curriculum at work.

Starting in two weeks, we will be hosting tours on Wednesdays at 9 & 10am and on Fridays at 8:30 and 9:30am. We’ll also have a monthly evening tour offering on a Thursday evening at 5 and 6pm.

Great news for incoming ECE4 families: We just got word that Discovery Link, Swigert’s before and after school care program will be available this fall for ALL our students, ECE4 through 5th grade! I know this might impact your choice decision which is due next Monday, February 12th at 4pm.
