It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Life Member Martin “Marty” G. Weaver, who went home to be with the Lord on September 11, 2025, at the age of 91.
Marty was more than just a volunteer — he was one of the founding members who helped make Fivepointville Ambulance Association a reality. In 1960, he joined a small group of community members in purchasing an old hearse that became the very first ambulance for our area. Together, they answered the community’s call for help, running their first emergency response on July 1, 1961. Marty’s dedication during those early years laid the foundation for what Fivepointville Ambulance is today.
Beyond his service to EMS, Marty devoted over 50 years of his life to our organization, all while being a loving husband, father, and friend. He spent 36 years as a hardworking truck driver and enjoyed the simple joys of hunting, fishing, and time outdoors.
Marty will always be remembered not only for his decades of service but also for his unwavering commitment to his family, his church, and his community. We are forever grateful for his contributions and his legacy that lives on every time our ambulances roll out to serve.
Even after retirement, Marty could be found at our annual member appreciation banquet every year bringing smiles to our faces and enjoying the fellowship of the members that help to carry on this great organization he helped found.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Marty’s family during this time. Rest easy, Brother — your work here is done, and we will carry it forward from here.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at Red Run Mennonite Church, 987 Martin Church Road, Denver, PA, with Pastor Kevin Weaver officiating.
Viewings will be held at the church on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Friday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
Burial will occur immediately following the funeral in the adjoining church cemetery.
