At PJ Library JEWISHcolorado, the books arriving in the mailbox each month are just the beginning. They spark bedtime conversations, help families celebrate Jewish values and traditions at home, and open the door to deeper connection with Jewish community across Colorado. Month after month, PJ Library JEWISHcolorado sends more than 5,000 books to children ages 0-12 statewide and supports family engagement through our Family Connectors who create meaningful opportunities to gather, celebrate, and build relationships close to home.

As one Colorado parent shared, “The books teach young children good Jewish values long before they can read. They offer discussion points and connect us to Jewish holidays. They support the next generation and help them see that being Jewish is fun.”

This Jewish Days of Giving, we invite you to help make this kind of connection possible for even more families. A gift of $40 provides a new child with an annual PJ Library subscription. Thank you to all of our PJ Library JEWISHcolorado and Jewish Explorers, a program of JEWISHcolorado families who joined us at JEWISHcolorado's Celebrate Israel event this past weekend. Participants who stopped by the Family Engagment Tent were able to decorate hearts and take one along to share with a friend or leave one behind to be shared with people living in our partner region in Israel, Ramat HaNegev, in honor of the theme Lev Echad, One Heart, Here, There and Everywhere

PJ Library and Harold Grinspoon Foundation have a goal that every child who receives a PJ Library subscription will see themselves and their families represented in the pages and stories of the books that come to their homes month after month. This week staff and parent connectors from PJ Library JEWISHcolorado Jewish Explorers, a program of JEWISHcolorado JEWISHcolorado found ourselves on the pages of the books as we connected with other PJ Library Professionals across North America at the PJ Library International Conference. We can’t wait to share with the thousands of Colorado families we serve what we learned. We have big goals to keep young family engagement growing in the CO Jewish community!
