✨El Centro Summer Highlights Part III ✨

Our Community Worker Care Deparment work over the summer was full of care, empathy and building worker power by eliminating barriers that get on the way to advance their success.

Centro members had access to our DMV visit to obtain their IDs, driver licenses, and resolve questions. We also offered a space for immigration related legal consultations with our partners from Monclova law, as well as a beautiful vigil led by our member, Mariano, in a night of solidarity with the families who were affected by the earthquake in Venezuela. Moreover, you can find us as well once a month at Clínica Tepeyac so our neighbors from the GES area, can have easier access to our services. We also collaborated with Latina Safehouse community, and many more!

🌞✨Summer Highlights Part II✨🌞

Our Workers Rights Deparment was able to train dozens of new Centro members on protections at the workplace, wage theft prevention, and how to navigate the labor market.

We also collaborated with community partners as SEIU and CIRC on training members, employers and, potential organizers to keep advancing worker power 👏🏽

El Centro has been very busy over the summer serving our members, forming new partnerships and, expanding our work across Colorado.

Last weekend, our Community Economic Development Team, educating families in Commerce City about current opportunities and building community. Special thanks to Our Lady Mother of the Church Parish for our partnership and collaboration in serving our immigrant families to keep building economic power 👏🏽🎉

Su participación, colaboración y compromiso con nuestra comunidad hicieron de esta feria un gran éxito. Juntos logramos conectar a individuos y familias con recursos valiosos, fortalecer alianzas y seguir construyendo una comunidad más fuerte.
