In collaboration with our partners, we have distributed 450 portable A/C units across Denver over the last two summers. ❄️

Denver is experiencing more frequent and intense summer heat due to climate change. Not every neighborhood feels the heat equally. Areas with fewer trees and more pavement tend to absorb and retain more heat, leading to higher temperatures. 🌡️

The city is helping community organizations provide immediate relief to Denverites facing the greatest heat-related risks. Together, we’re helping more families stay safe and cool as extreme heat becomes a growing challenge in our city.

Everyone deserves a home that’s comfortable year-round. 🏡

When Denver landlord Eyal upgraded his fourplex with heat pumps, his goal was simple: keep his tenants cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and lower energy use at the same time. His investment is helping create healthier, more comfortable homes while supporting a cleaner future for Denver.

This , we’re celebrating people like Eyal who are showing what’s possible, one fourplex at a time. As heat pump adoption grows, gas heating permits continue to decline.

Discover how Eyal's investment is creating a more comfortable home for his tenants while supporting a cleaner future. Read the full story here: https://bit.ly/4pYDkAW.

When nonprofit organizations spend less on utilities, they can invest more in their mission. 💸

Since 1989, Women's Bean Project has helped women experiencing chronic unemployment gain the skills, experience, and support needed to re-enter the workforce. As the organization expanded into a new 20,000-square-foot facility, it also invested in energy efficiency and clean energy upgrades designed to support its long-term growth.

With support from the city, Women’s Bean Project installed a rooftop solar system. The system now covers 120% of the building's electricity needs, helping eliminate electric bills today while creating room for growth tomorrow.

Projects like this help community-serving organizations keep more resources focused where they matter most. Today, Women’s Bean Project directs more than 75% of its revenue toward wages and support services for the women it employs.

These are the investments we love to make to strengthen Denver’s nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve.
