Conversion therapy is child abuse.
This is evidence backed. It causes long-term harm, and no one gets "converted".

Colorado lawmakers tried to do right by their constituents, so this is a slap in the face of all their work, and the work of countless activists.

This is what government overreach looks like.

The state and more than 20 others restrict therapists from trying to change the gender identity or s*xual orientation of clients under 18.

“The Senate on Saturday blocked an amendment that would ban transgender athletes from playing in women’s sports, rejecting one of President Donald Trump’s priorities as he pressures Congress to act on a broad voting bill…

The amendment that was blocked by a 49-41 vote would penalize educational institutions that receive federal funding if they permitted individuals assigned male at birth to participate ‘in an athletic program or activity that is designated for women or girls.’

Trump also wants Congress to block s*x reassignment surgeries on some minors as part of the debate on the voting bill. It is unclear whether the Senate will hold a vote on that.”

The Senate has blocked a proposal that would ban transgender athletes from playing in women’s sports.

"While more than a dozen U.S. states currently prohibit or limit Medicaid coverage for gender-affirming care, the 4th Circuit became the first federal appeals court to enforce this type of law, according to a report by Reuters."

While bans on trans youth’s care have been numerous in recent years, this is the first to restrict care for transgender adults.

Taking down a flag does not erase our history. But it does remind us why we cannot rely solely on governments to tell it.

The Stonewall Inn is privately owned and independently operated. We are not affiliated with the federal government and we will never lower our flag or stop protecting our history.

The Stonewall National Monument was established to honor the origins of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement. When symbols directly tied to that history are removed, it raises serious concerns about how our story is being stewarded.

LGBTQ+ history has too often been minimized, sanitized, or erased from official narratives. That is why the Stonewall Inn continues to stand as living history, protected and carried forward by the community itself.

The Pride flag at The Stonewall monument is not partisan. It is historical. We believe it should be restored.

That is why our history will never be erased-and at the Stonewall Inn, all flags representing our community will always continue to fly.
