Help Ensure Every Vote Counts by Becoming an Election Judge
The Denver Clerk and Reorder's Office will need twice the number of election judges for the upcoming General Election. They will be hiring between 1,000 and 1,200 election judges for a range of roles and time commitments. Here are a few things to keep in mind:
You must be a registered voter in the state of Colorado to work as an election judge. Election judge placements for all roles are made considering political party affiliation balance.
Per state law, election judges are compensated for their work; there are no voluntary positions.
All election judges must complete required paperwork for each election and consent to a background check.
All election judges will require some use of technology for training and personnel matters.
All election judges are required to attend an orientation session for every election in which they participate.
All roles require a combination of in-person and online training and must be completed in full for each election.
All roles require a commitment to work on Election Day, which does demand long hours for most positions.
Efforts are made to place people based on their preferences for role type, location and availability.
