Initiative 195, now, the Income Tax Fairness Act, has officially qualified for the ballot. This November, Colorado voters will finally have the opportunity to build a fairer tax system and invest in the future our students deserve.

A YES vote on the Income Tax Fairness Act will:

✂️Cut income taxes for 97% of Coloradans
➕️Ask the wealthiest 3% to pay a little more
💲Generate approximately $2 billion annually for K–12 public schools, health care, and early childhood education

The U.S. Department of Education’s threatened enforcement action—and the potential loss of up to $90 million in federal funding—places the district, its educators, and its students in an extraordinarily difficult position. We support the district’s decision to defend its inclusive policies, reject unsupported allegations concerning its compliance with Title IX, uphold Colorado’s strong protections against discrimination, and file a lawsuit seeking court guidance.
