The Denver Public Library is celebrating Immigrant Heritage Month!
This heritage month encourages immigrants and allies to celebrate the contributions of immigrants and explore immigrant heritage.
Immigrant Heritage Month is also a great time to learn about the programs and services we offer all year long for immigrant and refugee communities in Denver to create connection and a sense of belonging within our community:
Plaza programs provide weekly, year-round immigrant navigation services at nine DPL branches. Each Plaza hosts English conversation groups, citizenship study groups, 1-1 resource help, and more. Visit the Plaza webpage for a full schedule: https://www.denverlibrary.org/plaza/plazalibrary
DPL Language Services focuses on providing programs, outreach, and support in our customers’ preferred languages whenever possible. DMV2GO will be at the Central Branch on Monday July 6th from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm.
Find them in the Community Resources Center, on the west side of the first floor.
This event is FREE!
DMV2GO is the Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles exciting, new program that helps Coloradans by bringing the DMV to them!
The DMV2GO offers almost all of the same services as a DMV office location, however, no driver’s testing services are available. Customers need to bring documentation with them, including proofs of identity and proof of address.
*Community Resources staff can assist customers with ensuring they have the correct documentation and can sometimes help customers obtain other documents if needed.

It's a hot one!

Hey Denver! It's heating up this week and we want to remind you that heat-related illness, including heat stroke, can be dangerous if not treated appropriately.

Avoid heat-related illness with these tips:
🧴 Wear sunscreen, loose/lightweight clothing + a hat
⌚ Pace your activity + rest often
🥤 Drink more water than usual
❄️ Seek out AC – visit a public place if needed

You can also protect your pets in the heat:
🐾 Protect your pets’ paws from hot pavement
🚫 Never leave your pet in the car
