Last week we filed a class action against Capstone Logistics and its wholly owned subsidiary for unpaid wages. The Complaint alleges the misclassification of warehouse to home delivery drivers and failure to pay for all time worked and unlawful deductions.

We are so grateful to our legislative sponsors for moving strong protections against surveillance price and wage setting through the Colorado Senate Committee on Business Labor and Technology yesterday. Our legislators are responding to the will of the people: seventy-eight percent of voters Colorado support prohibiting companies from using surveillance data, including browsing history, location, and other personal information, to determine what consumers pay or what workers earn (link to poll in comments below).

HB 26-1210 would ban using personal data to set prices or pay. Supporters cite fairness. Opponents warn it could limit discounts.
