It has come to our attention someone is again claiming we stole a photo of theirs - one that was provided by a regional rescue agency. Besides a whole array of conspiracies this person is weaving, no credit was given other than the agency itself. They had simply neglected to indicate photo credit. The FACTS: when we discovered this we took the photo down. 2 - We tried to go to bat for this person because a whole array of other media around the NW had also used the photo. No response from them. 3 - We tried to clarify with the local agency. No response. 4 - This person then became an enraged online bully, calling names and such. Hence the bans.

MAJOR air quality alerts throughout Washington and Oregon, beginning in the morning hours. Winds shift overnight to coming from the SE, bringing wildfire smoke to even the coastlines as well as larger western cities. On top of this, there are heat advisories and near-100-degree temps coming to Portland, Salem, Vancouver, etc. Heat and smoke likely lasting through the 5th but smoke may cool the heatwave by a few degrees.
