We’re asking prayers for our brother fireman Richard Fisher he is currently in the hospital, battling some intestinal issues. Richard has been in good standing on the department for 23 years.

Update
Just wanted to let everyone know that the power of prayer is working.
Richard was scheduled for a procedure tomorrow, but the doctor came in this morning and said that he looked good and he is on his way home now.

UPDATE 3/9/26: The burn ban has been lifted!
🔥
Due to current dry and windy conditions, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury has issued a parishwide burn ban, effective immediately.

The order prohibits all outdoor private burning of any kind. Prescribed burns are not included.

Calcasieu Parish fire departments have authority to extinguish fires that violate the ban, and violations may result in penalties.

Please help prevent grass and brush fires by following the burn ban until further notice.

As the winter storm approaches, please be mindful of icing roads. Please stay home if possible because of dangerous, driving conditions. If there is an emergency situation just remember there may be a delayed response because our emergency responders are going to have to travel with extra precautions.
Have a blessed weekend and stay warm.

With a winter storm approaching please be safe with trying to keep warm. If you are using a space heater plug it directly into a receptacle and do not use an extension cord. Do not plug more than one into each receptacle and try to make sure and keep them on separate circuits. If you’re using natural gas or propane to heat with, be sure and check your carbon monoxide alarm. If your power goes out and you use a generator, please keep the exhaust away from your house. Driving conditions will be very dangerous so please stay inside and don’t go traveling looking at icy roads. if you do have any issues, don’t hesitate to call 911
