🎓Today we celebrated our amazing 5th graders as they wrapped up their elementary school journey. We are so proud of all they’ve learned, the friendships they’ve built, and the leaders they’ve become.

✨ Celebrating creativity and so much more! ✨

Earlier this week, we recognized our Character Strong nominees for showing the character trait of Creativity—using imagination, problem-solving, and thinking outside the box in amazing ways every day! 💙🎨💡

We also celebrated our incredible Recycle Club and Student to Student members for the positive impact they make in our school community. We are so proud of all of our students for leading with heart, helping others, and making Swaney shine! 🐾♻️👏

☀️🐾 Game On, Wildcats — Field Day Was a Blast! 🐾🐾☀️

Yesterday our students spent the day making memories, playing games, enjoying outdoor activities, and soaking up all the fun with their friends!

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing staff and volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly and created such a fun experience for our students. We couldn’t do it without you! 💙

🍋☀️ Summer Sips at Swaney was open for business! ☀️🍪

On Tuesday, our K–5 Speech students put their communication skills into action by running their own lemonade stand, serving lemonade and cookies to staff customers. From taking orders and greeting guests to practicing conversations with every visit, students had a blast building confidence through this hands-on experience.
We also loved welcoming members of our District Leadership Team, who stopped by to support our students and enjoy a sweet treat. 💙

Students in Ms. Olson & Ms. Cottrell’s class celebrated a year full of reading with a bracelet-making party! 📚✨

Throughout the year, students tracked the books they read by completing reading logs and graphic organizers to summarize their learning. Each genre earned them a special bead, and yesterday they turned all their hard work into colorful bracelets to show off their reading accomplishments!

Even Principal Addis joined the fun by reading books throughout the year alongside the students. What a fun way to celebrate a year of reading growth and success! 📖💙

Principal Addis showed up with full “weekend dad at the grill” energy today 🌭😎
Hot dogs were hot, the weather was perfect, and the students definitely approved of the chef skills! Field Day just hits different when the principal is working the grill. 🔥👏

Last Friday Mrs. Hearn and her students had an “Ohana Means Family” Beach Day in their classroom to celebrate all of the amazing growth her students have made this year! 🌺☀️🏖️

Students rotated through beach-themed centers focused on skills they’ve worked so hard to learn and strengthen throughout the school year. It was such a fun way to review, practice, and celebrate their accomplishments together! Of course, they also enjoyed a special beach punch made with Blue Hawaiian Punch, Nerds, and Swedish Fish — which was definitely delicious!
