Drive the Dash!
The City of Derby is seeking a Part-Time Van Driver.
Starting pay: $16.97/hour

What You Will Need:
✅ High school diploma or equivalent.
✅ Must meet safety sensitive requirements, including random drug screenings.
✅ Minimum of five years driving experience with an unrestricted driver’s license.
✅ Valid Kansas driver’s license and driving record must meet commercial liability insurance requirements.

What Will Put You Ahead:
✅ Must be able to read a map and follow a written schedule.
✅ Knowledge of the geography of the city, and names/locations of city streets.
✅ Ability to meet and deal tactfully with the public.

Garden Club had a wonderful time last Friday kicking off the summer planting season! It was great to see so many green thumbs working together in our beautiful NEW senior garden!

The next gathering is this Tuesday at 8:00 AM. We’ll be diving into more planting plans and garden fun—hope to see you there bright and early! 🌱☀️

We had a great time visiting Hillsboro, KS this week!

Thank you, Sue, for sharing your hometown with us. Your energy and enthusiasm made us feel so welcomed and excited to learn more about the community and its history. We enjoyed the stories and the wonderful company throughout the day!

Trips like these remind us how special it is to learn, explore, and make memories together.

🎉 What an unforgettable night at the Derby Senior Center Senior Prom!

Everyone had an amazing time dancing the night away with Steve from Advanced DJ Services keeping the energy high and the tunes flowing. Trunk Photo Booth was there to capture all the fun smiles and memories, making the night even more special.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us — your joy and laughter made the evening truly magical. We can’t wait to do this again next year!

Starting pay $19.47/hr., DOQ

What You Will Need:
✅ High school diploma or equivalent.
✅ One to three years related office support experience.
✅ Valid Kansas driver’s license. Driving record must meet commercial liability insurance requirements.

What Will Put You Ahead:
✅ Associate degree or Bachelor degree in related field.
✅ Ability to operate a multi-phone telephone and radio equipment.
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher.
✅ Ability to meet and deal tactfully with the public and communicate effectively and clearly, both orally and in writing.
