Last spring, during Library Skills, students in 3rd through 5th grade explored different types of poetry, including haiku, acrostic poems, and limericks. They put their new knowledge and creativity to work by composing original poems of their own!

Students had the exciting opportunity to submit their work to a national poetry contest through Young American Poetry Digest, with selected poems earning a place in a published book. We are thrilled that several of our talented young poets were selected for publication!

Early childhood PM classes worked on recognizing their numbers by going on a Spooky Scavenger Hunt around the school!

Our Halloween Parade is coming up on Monday, October 26, at 9:30 AM!

Families are invited to line the streets around El Paso and watch our students show off their costumes! We can't wait to see everyone dressed up!

A few reminders:

-Students should wear their costumes to school.

-Parents are welcome to take costumes home after the parade.

-No weapons, blood, gore, or scary makeup.

-Inflatable costumes and masks are allowed as long as students can see clearly.

The Cougar Candy Monster has arrived at El Paso and is looking for some treats! If anyone is interested in donating bags of candy to the candy monster, he is in the office.
El Paso PTO will have a car at the Stone Creek Trunk or Treat and the candy will be passed out there Friday, Oct. 30 at 5pm. We appreciate your help and hope to see you there!
