It's with profound sadness The Paugasset Hook and Ladder announce the passing of almost 20 year member George Ambriscoe. He dedicated his life to the fire service and mentored many generations of fire fighters. Including many of our members. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace

It is with deep regret that the officers and members of the Paugassett Hook and Ladder Co. announce the passing of long time active member, Ken Mitchell.

Ken was an absolute wealth of knowledge due to his involvement in many different organizations, committees, and schools such as the Valley Fire Chiefs Training School, Engine 260, the Orange Volunteer Fire Department and the Webster Hose of the Ansonia Fire Department.

Funeral arrangements will be posted at a later date.

Ken you will be deeply missed. Thank you for everything. We will take it from here.

Congratulations to Paugassett Hook and Ladder Probationary Firefighter Brandon Kling for graduating from the Valley Fire Chiefs Regional Training School Firefighter 1 course tonight!

Along with Brandon, Congratulations to fellow Derby Firefighters Trevor Worobel of the East End Engine Co. and Tavon Simpson of the Storm Engine Co, Enrique Santana and Mark Weston of the Hotchkiss Hose Co. who also have successfully completed this strenuous course!

Thank you to the Valley Fire Chiefs Regional Training School for their hard work in instructing these individuals!

This evening, Truck 15 was dispatched automatic mutual aid as the 2nd due Truck to the City of Ansonia for the structure fire. Members assisted on forcible entry to gain access to all sides of the building and set up for ladder pipe operations.

Porchetta Fundraiser Update!

We were notified by some people that there was an issue buying Porchetta and sauce this morning. There was a glitch with the event system that we have since fixed.

If you were not able to make a purchase earlier today or yesterday evening, please try again. You should be able to do so now.

Note that if either day is sold out, you can purchase for the other day. All orders will be available on either pick-up date.
