This year, Mrs. Johnson’s 5th grade class published their very own book! The book is titled “5th Grade Selfies”. Each student drew a picture of themselves and wrote some fun facts about them. Today, students celebrated their hard work by walking the red carpet and reading their page to the class. Congratulations on all your hard work!

Derby Public Schools is excited to introduce our new communication platform, ParentSquare. Beginning this summer and into the 2026-2027 school year, you will receive district, school, classroom and activities/athletics updates in one convenient place, making it easier for staff and families to stay connected, informed and engaged from any mobile device or computer.

➡️ At the secondary level (grades 6-12), students will have access to StudentSquare on their school device or through a mobile app for after-school activities and athletics communication. Students/Families may choose to download the free ParentSquare or StudentSquare app for iOS or Android, or log in at www.parentsquare.com.

➡️ You can also:
• Choose how and when you receive messages
• Reply to messages from staff
• View calendars and sign-ups
• and more, all in your preferred language

Park Hill Huskies~ Field Day is TOMORROW!

We’re excited for a fun day filled with games, activities, and great memories. Parents are welcome to attend — please remember to check in at the office and wear your visitor badge.

Derby High School student council invites current 2nd-5th graders to join us for 3 days of learning about becoming the best leaders they can be in their everyday lives. Students from DHS StuCo have planned activities, games and projects that will challenge young leaders and make them think.

May 26th-28th ~ 9 am to noon
Derby High School
$30 registration fee includes a t-shirt, a snack each day and all workshop materials.
